Z1 e micro vertical bending non screendoors

A while back I came up with a tweak on the "Factory Menu" SELECT + INPUT
5sec
this altered setting 14 from 0 to 1,2,13 depending on your preferences.

There was also an additional tweak with setting 65 from 4 to 55.

To do this new to tweak, you will have to reset these back to default, so in
the factory
mode make sure item 14 = 0 and item 65 = 4, or whatever your written
down defaults were.

*NEW TWEAK VB TWEAK*

You will have to access a new menu which is acutally called "Service Mode"
to do
this hold down MENU + INPUT for 5 sec (it's important that it is precisely
at
the same time or you will change the input setting to Video which is really
annoying.)

Once in the "Service Mode" Select Item 14 and change from 156 to 140.

This will remove VB, check on an IRE steps or any low-contrast scene for an
example. It is imortant to note that this change has two minor downsides.

1) It decrease the amount of GREEN by a small percent. So increase with you
RGB settings
to correct white balance.

2) It may take away the horizontal scan-line tweak I previously explained.

Other than that hopefully say goodbye to the nasty vertical bands!

I am now 100% convinced that people who see the z1 at demos, out of
the box are dissmissing a projector for having poor screen door, when in
effect they are seeing bad vertical bands. As now I have taken the bands
away I struggle to see an trace of panel structure, even less than on my
1280x720 LCD projector!

Retrocedendo , sono salito con un passo sul "menu di fabbrica" scegliere + l'immissione 5sec , questo regola in 14 passi da 0 a 1,2,13 a seconda delle vostre preferenze. C'era anche un passo aggiuntivo con il mettere 65 da 4 a 55. Fatto questo nuovo punto , dovrete reimpostare questi a default, così dal manuale
si assicura il punto 14 = 0 e il punto 65 = 4, o qualunque cosa era annotato come default *NEW premendo insieme VB TWEAK* dovrete accedere a un nuovo menu chiamato acutally "modo di servizio" , per farlo , premete menu + immissione per 5 secondo ( è importante considerare che questo incrementera' di poco il livello del verde per correggere il livello rgb del bilanciamento del bianco
Procedere regolando il passo orizzontale scan-line come ho precedentemente spiegato. Facendo uso del bande verticali come riferimento
Sono al 100% convinto che la gente vede nelle schermate con lo z1 un poco avvertibile effetto screen door , effetti quel che si nota di piu' e' una cattiva riproduzione delle bande verticali ,
pur tuttavia si nota un effetto reticolo della matrice , anche inferiore di quella del mio proiettore che e' un lcd a 1280 per 720

Sarà ma io che in inglese ci avevo capito tutto quando ho letto la traduzione mi son chiesto se si parlava di videoproiezione o di una caccia del tesoro: 14 passi qui 150 là???

Il riassunto spicciolo è:
Ci sono due menù nello Z1 attivabili dalla combinazione di tasti posti sul VP. Questi menù che non dovrebbero essere toccati da utilizzatori inesperti, danno la possibilità di apportare ulteriori miglioramenti all'immagine. C'è chi asserisce che alcune unità soffrano di un micro vertical bandig che potrebbe essere confuso con screendoors. Detto micro vertical banding è eliminabile seguendo due diverse procedure. Inoltre seguendo la seconda è possibile regolare + finemente i colori.

SCRIVETEVI I SETTAGGI DI DEFAULT!

Un istante fa [NdT in un post precedente suppongo] vi ho spiegato una modifica apportabile al vp dal "Factory Menu" (raggiungibile premendo select + input per 5 sec). Si trattava di modificare il valore del parametro n. 14 da 0 a 1, 2 o 13 a seconda delle vostre preferenze.
Ho anche parlato di un altra modifica consistente nel settare il parametro 65 modificandolo da 4 a 55.
Il nuovo trucco che espongo oggi, necessita che voi resettiate questi due valori a quelli di default [NdT pena il furto dell'anima?].

*NUOVA MODIFICA*

Bisogna che voi accediate ad un altro menù, di nome "Service Mode". Per farlo tenete premuti per 5 sec i tasti menu ed input (okkio a premerli contemporaneamente, altrimenti cambiereste l'input del proiettore impostandolo a video, cosa piuttosto fastidiosa).

Una volta nel "Service Mode" selezionate la voce 14 e cambiatela da 156 a 140.

Questa operazione rimuoverà il vertical banding. Controllate l'efficacia della modifica su una scena a basso contrasto. E' importante notare che data modifica ha due effetti collaterali:

1) diminuisce il livello del verde di una piccola percentuale, quindi per compensare aumentatelo dai settaggi rbg;

2) potrebbe eliminare il rimedio delle linee di scansione che ho spiegato prima [NdT grazie al ca**o: ci hai detto di ripristinare i valori di default!!].

a parte questo, dite addio alle orribili bande verticali.

Ora sono convinto al 100% che la gente che vede lo z1 nelle demo lo scarta perché pensa che abbia un effetto zanzariera notevole, mentre stanno in realtà vedendo un effetto di vertical banding. Ora che ho eliminato questo effetto lo zetino va anche meglio del mio vp 1280x720!!
